English for Mongolian Culture is the first attempt to incorporate the principles of Education for Sustainable Development into English Language Education. The purpose of this book is aimed at focusing on how value-based education for sustainable development might be fostered within the field of English Language Education. Sustainability is holistically related to environmental, economic, linguistic and cultural sustainability. In this book, a number of principles of sustainability will be more specifically emerged: • Sustainability will relate in significant ways to local imagination and way of life - Mongolian traditional nomadic culture. • Sustainability will be an intercultural issue. • Education for sustainability will go to the heart of deeply held views and require teaching for transformation: it will be value-based teaching. On the other hand, Mongolian traditional nomadic culture is an important concept in education for a sustainable future. More specifically, values towards people-to-people and people-to-nature relationships are the key concept. Therefore, this book itself will encourage sustainable development.
